I took a long walk to Unabridged Bookstore and walked past Wrigley Field. It was in the latter innings of a Cubs game – so most fans were still there. However, outside all of the bars were getting ready for the after game crowd, including this one that seems to have some weird tropical theme going on. Wrigleyville is not what it used to be. It feels more like Disney than Chicago.

2020: Sheltering in Place. Taken on Chicago Ave between Harlem and Oak Park Ave. in Oak Park, IL. This is one of two sculptures on the front of the Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio. I may or may not have noticed them before, but they seemed to speak to this moment in time -- where being socially responsible demands that we stay at home or at least engage in social distancing, and sometimes it just feels like we all want to hide.
2018: A job to do. Taken on 74st Street between 37th Ave. and Roosevelt in Jackson Heights in Queens, NY. He was sweeping the street. I think it was his white uniform that I saw first -- but the broom and Bulls cap, along with his expression that made the photo for me.
2016: A pond and a farm. Taken from the Traverse Area Recreation Trail (TART) between Suttons Bay and Traverse City in Leelanau County, MI. First long bike ride of the spring. It was good stopping to take photos so that I could take a break too.
